Dont they have aftermarket brackets that angle the rear coil to clear booster?
Although that looks like needs chopping lol.
With ya on cheap tyres gouged the sidewalls 1st time doing doughies in storage unit carpark…car was bit too low & diff off centred grrr
Nice tidbit of info about vz boosters there
April 30, 2017 at 9:11 pm #22646Had to chop/angle the last coil bracket on the VR Lexcen with the VZ Booster ..
May 1, 2017 at 6:01 am #22647Ian.
So you recommend a vz booster over the VT? If so I’ll starting looking for one. Remember I don’t have abs too.
What reservior lid is that?
May 1, 2017 at 6:08 am #22648Ok so I searched the Vz booster mate.
Im assuming yours is vz booster and master? Should I be buying a ute one?
May 1, 2017 at 7:16 pm #22652Yep VZ Master and Booster Cav.
ABS doesn’t make any difference, for your rear Drums you’ll need to run an RPV (residual pressure valve) pretty sure you can buy an inline one as you won’t get a VZ Master with one.
I just made the stop bracket to suit it’s not a big job.
May 1, 2017 at 7:31 pm #22653Hmmm never knew I needed that. I’ll suss the inline one. Not that I know what I’m looking for. Lol
May 1, 2017 at 8:36 pm #22655They hold a couple of PSI of pressure in the wheel cylinders to keep the shoes out close to the drum so you don’t get a long pedal.
May 1, 2017 at 8:58 pm #22656Interesting mate. Never knew about these. One on each drum I assume.
May 1, 2017 at 9:16 pm #22657Normally they’re in the Master cylinder ports where the lines screw in so yeah you’ll need 2 of them, this is “the” difference between a Disc/Disc brake Master and a Disc/Drum brake Master!
May 2, 2017 at 4:34 am #22659~ One on each drum I assume.
If you have both rear drums fed from a single master cylinder port then you only need one RLPV in that line (somewhere before the T-piece on the diff).
If you have split circuits for each individual wheel then yes, you will need one in each line to the rear drums.
May 2, 2017 at 6:33 am #22660Good to know Andrew. I’ll only need one then. In that add they say 10psi needed for drums. I’ll do some more solid investigating and work it all out.

If you are going to all this trouble why not fit something like the tubular 4 link coil over setup from McDonald Bro’s ?
