Brought and mounted my W2A
Removed my fuel lines. If you zoom you can see them in my backyard
Pulled my fuel tank so I can start running some new lines as well as mod the tank for the larger return.
Also commenced “make these fucking headers fit” (yes Gary, language I know. But they deserve it)
Purchase some 7/8 a 3.5 inch slip on collectors and cut the old ones off.
Also changed the gate on my shifter to a Reverse pattern 3spd. In anticipation. For my t400

July 16, 2016 at 5:52 pm #18482Hey cava was the hole in the bonnet needed for the lsa?? Or just because your keeping your reverse cowl bonnet?
July 16, 2016 at 6:00 pm #18487Nah it’s needed for the motor mate. I still need to trim more.
I’m content with the Dunny lid scoop. I refuse to put a cowl on it. This now means the red engine cover won’t fit also. Shit happens.
July 18, 2016 at 8:04 pm #18546Half my header in lol.

He solid mounting the motor so zero movement when reving, surely 5mm clearance is enough

July 23, 2016 at 10:58 pm #18692Dunno tbh is like to say early next year. There isn’t a lot to do but there is. If you get the drift.
Finding the time is hard. It’s not like the first VR where I could stay in the garage from 4-12 after work.
July 23, 2016 at 11:57 pm #18693Looks like it would be easier to just make a set of pipes
your a plumber, it’s your job just get a heap of 45 and 30 degree bends and start cutting and welding
July 24, 2016 at 7:43 am #18694That’s plan B. I persist with these a bit longer. I’ll get them in eventually lol
August 19, 2016 at 9:28 pm #19153Ok.
W2A needed some tweaking. It’s mounted and as good as I can get it. Given its size LOL
Not much else has happened as working 6days a week but I chip away when I can.
Got my lift pump today from Julian @ Aftermarket Industries. Went with a 460lph walbro lift pump to feed the surge. I’ve still got to make a list and order all the fuel system fittings and hoses. Plus some 37deg flare tools to get it sorted.
In other new my alternator is back together after some loving. Big thanks to Tony (vsclubby355) he got it looking brand new, compared to what it was.
Before
After
Next will be all the fiddly shit. Like hoses etc.
Gotta get them all run how I want so they are neat.
Also looking at a new W2A InterCooler pump so my old Bosch unit will be for sale inc the reservoir if anyone is keen.
My Holley 12-848 boost reference Reg is also for sale. Gone to a FPR2000
