Posts: 5 777Is it really worth hiding it? I mean its just the LSA whilst being a nice bit of kit is not exactly smooth looking if you know what I mean. By the looks your not smoothing the bay are you, or have I missed that? Fwiw, I decided on mine to go with a loom done fairly neatly but not overboard, its always something you can do later if you feel like hiding it all. The other thing is given its pretty race orientated wouldn’t it be better to have the wiring accessible from a maintenance etc point of view? Btw just my opinions, its your car of course.
May 23, 2016 at 4:16 pm #17102Not smoothing. Just lick of paint to keep it fresh.
The fuses will be tucked up under the guard lining, like Peter did. So it will accessable with minor tweaks.
I thought the same originally, it’s a shot spot what if I need to touch it. But in all honesty I’ve never had to play with the fuses or relays.
May 23, 2016 at 4:36 pm #17104I have never in my entire life ever personally seen a relay stuff up
and even if one does it’s a 20 minute job to pull the gaurd off
nearly all who hide wiring in a Holden 5L put the ingition modual behind a gaurd and they stuff up daily so that’s a much worse idea really
personally I thinking keeping under the dash clean is a good idea

Posts: 5 777Wonder how hard it would be to make the fuse box easy to undo and swing down? Just wondering about welding on some sort of bracket with captive nuts. If there ever is an issue reach up under the guard, undo the screws and swing it down so you can mess around with it? Would just need a little length in the loom which would be pretty easy? Just thinking out loud.

May 23, 2016 at 4:51 pm #17109No chance I was pulling that loom thru to the inside of the car.
