Posts: 5 777Just been around to sign the “all care but no responsibility” form. It is literally sitting at the doorway to the dyno room. Let’s see if they can get it hooked up and started today, not sure how far they will get. They have sorted a pair of taller rocker covers for the dyno work. I am sure there will be issues, but fingers crossed. I feel like when I was about to take it to Regency, shitting pellets. Lord give me strength.

Posts: 5 777Well its bolted up, first small hiccup, when I changed the reluctor to 24 teeth, seems the corresponding cam sprocket is needed (I had no idea) Luckily I have a split timing case, so should be pretty easy to swap over. Everything else is looking good for a full days noise tomorrow…

Posts: 5 777Humm, well that’s the million $ question. It should have a 7 in front of it in hp, from there not totally sure. This engine has never been about just power, for me its the torque and the power delivery that makes it so much fun, and tbh a little unique being an NA car. Happy to take guesses and closest shotguns a ride. I think I still owe Cav one of course…
February 6, 2019 at 8:23 pm #27912What’s the cam specs?
If it’s overly large you will blitz past the torque and power delievery and shift it all past 4000+

Posts: 775If it has an 8 in front of it, I may need a medic…
Hey Gary if say you had 600 rwhp previously running auto so plus 20% loss 720 fwhp new combo should be good for 700rwhp makes it above 840ish for fwhp just my thoughts is it possible to make another hundred horse with mods you have done

No mate best it ever made was 508 rwhp, which I think was around 620 fwhp. If I am in the 700’s I will be happy. Btw just got told they have spun it up and its got great oil pressure, hopefully make some noise soon.
