I didn`t want to upset anyone why I asked.
All I see is a great car build and a man with passion.
I`ll leave it alone.
May 11, 2018 at 5:19 pm #26428Wow OK rude…..

Really appreciate you asking mate, seriously I have no issues with JC other than how I was treated by a mod. I have said many times before lots of top people on that forum, just a couple of douche bags spoiled it for me.

For the record I reckon IJ just beat you Wraith No news on the heads, am getting a little impatient but good things come to those that wait I am told…

Posts: 5 777Well I think head porting specialists take secrecy to the next level. He has sent me these teaser pics, and will only say “he is really happy” with the numbers etc. Getting that bit closer now…
May 19, 2018 at 6:44 pm #26462He should give you a detailed spec sheet once done.

Posts: 5 777Been a bit busy lately, hence no posts. So good to hear Frank is starting to get stuck into the repaint of my bonnet. Not sure I mentioned it had picked up a couple of blemishes so since the engines out thought I might as well get it redone.
Also spoke to Brenton, he has in his words “has finished making chips” i.e. finished the porting and has also chosen the springs and retainers, and is looking at a couple of options for rockers. But most importantly he has scheduled in engine dyno time for 4 weeks time. So at least now I have a date to aim for, looking forward to that!!

June 11, 2018 at 1:21 pm #26572Not long now. A 454 full of all sorts of good bits spinning at 7,000rpm. maybe we’ll see a 700hp naturally aspirated VR Senator soon?

Posts: 5 777Well, a slight hiccup, getting roller rockers to fit my LS7 heads is not as straight forward as I thought… So looks like I need to sell that second kidney (thank god for dialysis) to pay for these trick Jesel ones.

Posts: 5 777Gone solid cam, but also the stock ones won’t handle 750 thou of lift at 7,000+ rpm.
June 26, 2018 at 3:23 pm #26643They are a nice bit of gear. Was there a need to go that big in the lift? Streetability comprimised?

Posts: 535Seems stupid to go solid roller and not make use of it’s benefits.
