What a fantastic day yesterday.  The weather started out terrible, luckily I was able to take mine down the night before and was displayed inside the workshop under cover.  heaps of people, around 110 Holdens, everything from mint restored early HR’s etc, through wild blown “street” cars, full on drag cars and everything in between.  I thought the car was looking mint.  I don’t enter shows for the awards, but I wont lie it is very nice when you do receive one :good:    As they went through the categories, one was best HSV, which went to someone else.  Then they moved onto the more general classes, and right at the end one was “Best Sleeper” which I won.  Very happy with that, actually I reckon is spot on for what I had in mind building it.  Then afterwards they had organized a police escort and blocked off all the intersections between Peter page where we were displaying down to the actual Holden factory about 2km up the road.  We all then cruised up there and were let into the factory through security and did a drive around all the internal roads at the plant.  Was very very cool :good:

Hi guys, sorry been away camping all week end so no phone/internet.  Thanks very much, and yea the new tune is 200% better.  Just arranging with him to get it to him for one last (hopefully) tweak to get it perfect.

Yes mate wired my Dakota, I see on your thread you are having issues with led’s.  I used the larger lights and didn’t have any issues.  Might be worth emailing Dakota about the problem?

Sunny forecast – check, cars moved so easy to back out of shed – check, 600+ hp “daily” ready to go – check.  Think the drive to work tomorrows going to be fun :good:

When are you doing the final touch ups on the tune?

Does this thing get much attention when you drive it? Sure it would get some interesting responses

Hi mate, next week is the plan for the final tune, also going to get Pedders to stuff a new set of caster bushes in the rear to get rid of the neg camber.  Easier to do that than modify the cradle at this stage.

Tbh it doesn’t really get much attention at all when cruising, if I pull up alongside someone at the lights I do sometimes get this weird look as if they are wondering whats under the bonnet.

Oil change done. While I was changing the oil filter thought I would take a pic of the set up in there.

Then went for a nice sedate cruise, seriously its never run better, just an absolute pleasure to drive it. Only thing is someone has stolen the tread of my back tyres. Not sure how they managed that, but looks like a new set of rear tyres are in order…

I have a Bathurst BBQ each year at my place with a group of friends.  I stick up all my Holden stuff, thought rather than put it away in a box until next year I would dress up the man cave a little :thumbs-up:

So I’m going to this, actually heading down with a group of mates from Gawler with a pretty eclectic group of cars.  67 Mustang Convertible, 1927 Whippet, Citroen 2CV, and a current model Mini & Merc convertible.

Should be a bit of fun.  If any of you SA guys are there come up and say g’day.
