When I had the MoTeC/L98 T04z combo in the Supra I had it set up to watch fuel pressurexboost if it was outside of spec it would pull a 2400rpm limiter on.. I miss my MoTeC gear for things like that.

Ita just safe insurance. Rather stall at the lights then loose motor. I’ll be running 2 pumps that solo can feed the engine enough.

Yea fair enough, I hadn’t actually heard of it before, sounds like a nice idea.

Definitely think I will add this to the list when I tidy up the fuel rails at the back of the intake.  Do seem like a pretty simple and effective piece of insurance.  I assume you would want to put them up at the actual rails or very near so you are sensing the pressure where it matters?

Got to get them the right way

there is normally closed and normally open

so I think you need a normally open  so from 0-50psi it’s open circuit and when it’s above that pressure it’s closed meaning the circuit is closed to allow negative earth to be connected

I got one that turns on extra fuel pump at 5psi and first one I got was wrong way so it was on till 5psi boost then it turned off

    forum banner looks good

Lol, we have all done those sort of things, we just don’t always admit to them :)

I might have a look at my fuel pump controller, I wouldn’t be surprised if it has an input for one of these.

Thanks for the heads up re NO or NC.

So done a little research, looks like my idea of removing the reverse lock out on the Pro Ratchet, whilst doable, means it wont be legal as there is nothing preventing me going from D to R.  Legality is an issue.  I really don’t want to pick up a defect for a simple lever.

So looks like its back to the original plan of the lever, but maybe I will make the lever end black instead of red or something so it doesn’t stand out so much.  I mean I intend running the B&M ball with the trans brake switch anyway.

Pity I cant get a black round gear stick ball, I have looked around  but don’t seem to be able to find one, unless anyone else knows of one?  This is the look I want but would prefer the gear knob black (and it needs the trans brake)

I just used a MOMO leather knob in mine, thought about using a QuickSilver shifter instead?

Already down the path of the ratchet, have the drop box to mount it under the stock console etc.

Have to admit never driven with either.  I think I had this discussion at length on the old forum, and the upshot was the Pro Ratchet seemed to suit what I wanted.  I think i will go with it on as i have it now, and all the guff to go with it.  Is the quicksilver what you have?  if so you maybe need to give me a demo one day soon…..

Works the same, only difference is the Reverse gate, you lift the shifter handle to get it into reverse and park, multi handle shifters are a PITA in a street car…

No probs we can arrange that!

Lol, yea my car is sort of a hybrid street car, granted its fully legal, and I want to drive it as often as I can.  But the reality its a 600+ hp car, I mean its just not a regular drive in your Toyota Yaris, so having to do things a little out of the norm doesn’t faze me really.  I reckon I will stick to the current plan and see how I like it.  Mate I am there with bells on, not sure if we can, but love to sit in the passenger seat whilst you have a crack at Collingrove, actually a bit of a bucket list car wise for me.  I want to do the same with my lad in mine, but he is saying it needs a racing seat, harness and cage, which right now would sort of kill the vibe of the car, but one day maybe.

Yeah it is but it’s a Vertical Gate Single lever deal.
