Thanks IJ. I never built it to be a trailer queen. I guess it’s just my confidence has been dented a little of late. But very much appreciate the vote of support!

Yea  baby, so, so happy.  400km round trip, not one single issue.  Averaged 15.1 l/100, and I was sitting at around 100 km/h, so I am pretty bloody happy with that.  Oil pressure rock solid, temperature dead stable.  Zero issues except blowing  a fuse on the indicators.  Not sure what that about but peaking.  And of course an immaculately painted bonnet fitted to perfection as well.   :yahoo:

These things aren’t Rocket Science and you’ve covered all the bases, it’s not like you were going to be abusing it on the way there or back so yeah 100% would have had 0 concerns, I came to Adelaide a few years back to collect some machinery when I had the blower engine in the Tonner.

Stayed at a mate’s place and took him for a blast to show him how it ran, I did keep it to about 8/10th being so far from home  ;-)

Yea I did the same today.  I actually didn’t give it the berries at all.  Too far from home in case something silly happened.

Cheers mate. Feeling super happy right now. Similar feeling to when I got it though engineering. Back to where it was. Now to just test it more and more power wise to build trust as IJ rightly says.  Filters are great. And make it a little quieter when cruising too.

A few pics Frank took yesterday, not bad considering how dirty it was.  Paint is still immaculate.  He really is one of, if not the, best of the best.

And tomorrow it’s off to Bonez for a full detail.  Also ordered a new pair of these, the bonnet is so good now thought it deserved it.

Nice. Keen to see what you think of those washed nozzles. I need some.

Supposed to be here Tuesday .Dropped the car off this morning to Bonez for a full detail this week.  Once it’s back I will try the nozzles. The original VR ones were abysmal. That’s why they went to the doubles on the VS I think.

The old girl scrubs up OK with a detail.  This is after the first pass by Bonez.  Love his work.

That was a nice weekend.  My lad’s mate has bought a really straight VS esteem.  The starter had shat itself so they came up and we changed it over, so earned some Dad browny points :good:

Bonez is doing an amazing job on the detailing, tbh it’s blown me away.  I have said it before but I just love working with people who take so much pride in their work.  Let’s just hope the weather plays ball for the car show this weekend.

Also fitted the new pates for the VL.  Happy days

Picked up the car from Bonez last night.  This guys work is next level.  Its just mint.  I really can’t believe how good he got it.  Cars running flawlessly at the moment too which is awesome, even got a chance to do a mainy down Murray street ;-) .  The only issue is rain and hail is forecast for Friday and showers Saturday.  So it looks like I may miss the Holdens Back Home car show.  I draw the line in driving it in rain/hail  :negative:

Thank you!!  I love it, I have never regretted the $$ I spent on the paint,  just next level.  A plus too is it’s just so easy to keep clean.
