Hello all,
Came to Commodore Plus as I was never allowed to become a member on Street Commodore, Even after being a long time subscriber to the Mag.
So here is the Vh and the future plans.
I have owned it about 6 months, since then I have removed fuel tank, to replace line as all were broken and frail. apart from that I have driven it as a daily 70km a day.
Future MODS
Engine: Standard Ls1, Cleaned up new Gaskets all round. Plan to leave it stock until all is converted and driven reliably.
Trans: T56 with excedy HD clutch, Mal wood external bleeder.
Diff: Undecided at this stage, Leaning toward 9 inch but would take vl turbo diff at the right price.
Rims: Bathurst Globes 15 inch
Brakes: Also undecided between wilwood kit, or Vt brakes
Interior/ Exterior Plan is to keep inside and out close to original as it is all in such good nick.
So that’s the plan so far, any comments welcome.

Posts: 5 777Hi mate (and welcome) the attachments is just a quick way to load small images. The way the forum works for larger and multiple images is like most forums, if you sign up for something like photo bucket (totally free btw) you upload the image to that then cut and paste the image code.

Posts: 102Looks great! Perhaps consider ve brakes instead of vt? I haven’t used them but have been told they are a better upgrade?
March 8, 2015 at 6:41 pm #2240Thanks for the good comments guys.
Been looking at all different brake options, I have heard good reviews from the Ve brake upgrade, only problem is I am planning on staying 15 inch rims to keep the standard look. which means that the willwood are still an option.
Here is some of the work that I did on the fuel tank. thought since it was out might as well give it a make over. pretty happy with how it turned out.
March 8, 2015 at 8:21 pm #2259Sweet VH mate. Looks super clean. Would be keen to read about the brake upgrade when you do it. Was something I was thinking would be happening to mine before too long.

Posts: 102If you want 15″ then wileood might be the best option, I think ve need a minimum of 16″? Nice job on the tank! I did the inverse, silver tank, black straps:)

March 11, 2015 at 7:23 pm #2458hey guys time for another post.
Cheers for the great comments so far. Brakes will be a few months off at this stage, will post pictures with what ever I decide on. Thanks VRsentator065 I posted in Photoshop thread, lets see what people can do…
I have got my ls1 and t56, out of a Vx clubsport,
t56 all cleaned ready to go.
CRS conversion Kit,
The start of the wiring, Still along way to go. will keep you guys posted.
Anyone who has done this before, any advice welcome
March 23, 2015 at 3:48 pm #3261I have done LS conversion into VK. For best exhaust clearance around extractors on the right side you will need a VL to VP V8 K frame and VL steering rack if going manual steering. If using power steering VL to VP will fit. I went with the manual steering mainly so I had more room. The steering is not overly heavy. I also cut small piece off each corner on rear of sump and welded in piece of flat plate over hole to give clearance to K frame.
