Looking great dude, same brakes as mine, they work great.  Does lowering the K frame like that mean you have to do anything funky with the springs and shocks, or does it all just bolt up like normal?

It looks like there’s lots of space now, wait till you start putting the headers in haha

Making some great progress, shame that it’ll stop while family life takes over for a bit. Thats cars though.

How much clearance do you have from the bottom of the sump to the ground? Looking pretty low, hopefully it isnt too exposed

Hey Gary no nothing funky just bolts in as the right height is adjusted from the strut not the spring I think you have the same set up

Cool, I guess as long as its all 100mm off the ground who cares.  As you know I am a fan of no bonnet mods, will be a super sleeper.

Nice original work Frazer, especially when done by yourself, good to see another way of doing the conversion. At first your big spacer idea seemed a bit radical, then I realised you’re not actually lowering the factory krame/suspension, your actually lifting the body of the standard suspension specs, ground clearance stays the same at the front, well thought of and use of coilovers.  I suspect you have to extend the height of the stabilizer bar link rods and extend the intermediate shaft length now ???  Also is that the 14” standard vh wheel trims ?? how did you fit them over the wilwood brakes or were you just dummy up the wheels for height without brakes installed I just managed to fit 15” steel rims over the standard VT disks (298mm) and callipers. You used a alloy calliper bracket to retro fit the wilwoods, the same bracket setup to put the larger 330mm hsv callipers on but they need 16” minimum rim.

Hey vin thanks for the comments the sway bar link I will make a new bracket from the chassis

I can get a steering shaft for rod shop but I need to sort out what rack I am going to use

the wheels are standard 14″ steel over the adapter hub with no brakes the brakes are the same size as the wheel

Explain? Seems low. How’s the header clearance?

It’s the angles from the LCA pivots intersecting the tyre contact patch and the strut tops, it gives you a point in space that the car will roll on from side to side.

This has a huge effect on the handling, looking at Frazer’s setup my guess is they’re way too high, there’s also the relationship between the front and rear roll centres, the roll axis to consider…
