My power steering pump is making a whirring noise when I accelerate when turning right. I’ve cleaned the reservoir (was thinking a blocked screen, was filthy tho) and replaced the fluid (thinking old fluid) with no luck.
It doesnt make noise at any other times. I dont feel any hard spots in the steering. Just a noise when turning right when accelerating.
I’m wondering if the previous owner gave it a bit of a flog before i got it and shagged the pump that way, since its been making the noise pretty much since i drove it home…
It is not the wheel bearing. It also has a brand new belt on the motor.
