April 25, 2016 at 8:43 pm #16337Stock tail lights?
April 25, 2016 at 8:47 pm #16338Fuck photo bucket is shit site
it’s actually faster to print out and post images to people who look on here
actually it’s getting black GTO tail lights lol
ill be be back when I put my pics onto push site witch actually works
April 25, 2016 at 9:07 pm #16340So picked up this Monaro as it looks in these pics, paint is faided and all carpements in it where broken, window had falling into bottom of door the day I got it, front suspension was flogged out, needed new tyres all round, window switch was stuffed, mirror switch was stuffed and drivers door trim is peeling up
apart from cat back shit force system it is 100% stock
got new tyres and managed to get it registered and mechanicly it’s nice to drive
within a few days I had window and mirror switches replaced, fitted new sliders to fix window and got the little clips to fix all carpments in it so only the door trim is stuffed now
picked up peddlers XA coil overs for $500 and fitted them and got some camber caster bushes to fit
picked up 1 7/8 difillipno extractors for few hundred of a mate who is goin turbo and got a alloy OTR for couple hundred
I’m using the mufflers I originally had on my manta so it’s all SS and will be twin 3 inch and is just a set of eBay mid mufflers and diffilipno twin 3inch in/out rear muffler witch means I will have to fit a decent cam to get some air flowing through the pipes
Got a GTO/GTS style kit and also got a genuin GTO rear wing and am in the process of painting it in cherry black
April 25, 2016 at 9:12 pm #16341So first thing I got the suspension fitted and all set up
then I started on fitting the kit witch did require a fer bit of work
So got front end and side skirts fitted and all fixed up then primed the front end, side gaurds bonnet , and side skirts and wet rubbed them with 800 ready for paint
Then I started fitting rear spoiler
April 25, 2016 at 9:19 pm #16342My brother in law is doin the honners of painting this one for me, he is spray painted by trade and done some very very nice show cars in his time
colour ur is cherry black and got the inserts like GTS in jet black
Can see here I have the same side skirt out side and just taking 2 pics in different angles of light
the he inserts will mostly blend in till a bit of sun hits it and the inserts stand out
April 25, 2016 at 9:27 pm #16343So here I painted under the bonnet and boot along with hinges and bolts my self, my brother in law will be back to paint the important side along with rear wing on the weekend coming
so I just need to give it a little goin over with 800 on other side before painting to ensure its perfect and didn’t get light mist of over spray on it
I now have the doors off so will start peeping them and again I will paint back side of them and Shane will be painting the important side then it’s the whole cars turn before I can put it all back together in a few weeks
So after that I can fit extractors and build exhaust and fit the caster camber bushes
it’s getting black GTO style tail lights and new head lights as the ones I have a stuffed and cracked
windows are goin black, I have 15% tint here but undecided if I should do 15% or 30% tint
wheels will be the 20s of my manta and the manta is getting a set of staggered 18s

Posts: 5 777Agreed, really loving the colour choice. So is it black interior?
April 30, 2016 at 7:24 pm #16466Thanks guys, yeah it’s a beautiful colour to see under the lights
so interia is black seats and black dash, roof lining and plastic trims are a light cream/whitish colour and it’s all in good condition apart from door trims pealing up near window
I have a heap of black suede I will do the roof, plastics, rear parcel shelf in
the door trims are getting a mix black leather and a dark maroon almost dark purple suede mix and that will be happening soonish
one day when I do seats they will get the same combo
this may upset some but I don’t care as its my car and I’m building what I want but I’m building what I think a GTS should be done like, so yes it may end up having a few gts badges and icons over it in the end
but rest assure every thing will be equal to or better then a v2 GTS is
so that means it will end up with big brakes, for now it’s getting the rims of the manta, it already has coil overs in it and so on
and all the interia I will build over time and will end up been very very nice and classy
engine wise its remaining in a daily driver able state as that is what it is so cam is about as far as I will go apart from a LS3 or something one day when I get to it
no strokers or turbos sorry
well maybe a turbo on 6psi better not rule it out
