Hay guys just been tossing the idea around with the boys of charging my 355 ute, as weekender and i am bored and thinking a 288 crane may be a little grumpy for regular driving.

Cav got me thinking about running a v2 super charger, now i would obviously need to lower my comp. Bottom end was built to handle around 500hp, has h beam rods and stud girdle, arp kit etc. I would also want to run an intercooler, can you fit a intercooler without having to hack holes into inner guards and batterie tray etc. As not keen in turning front end into swiss cheese.

Any pics of your set up please post. Cheers

Can’t help with intercooler install…not running one.Driver’s side wheel arch needed a little massage for the V1,big massage for the V7 to clear.Volute position can make it better or worse.

I’ve got 10.1 comp…but your 10.5 would be pushing the friendship.

I looked at this when i set up my Raptor charger but it just wasn’t going to make a huge difference. I currently run 9psi with a cool air fan plumbed in to help out.

It can be done put as you said it will need some surgery and some playing around.

Want to keep the 355, dont want to do a engine swap. Maybe a dumb idea but just want to keep the original motor in it, yea i know it will cost but can acquire parts over time etc.

An LS swap is not yet something to do lightly, of course i am a big fan, but its not cheap or simple if you want big hp. (Nothing is imo). Totally get wanting to keep the original engine but I do still think dollar for dollar, effort for effort LS is the way to go. But since when was car building about the brain, it’s about the heart :)

you do not need to massage any panels to fit a v2 or v7 blower on a VS

you ou can get around not cutting holes, running the pipe out towards to manifold and doin a U turn goin between the 8pk belt and radiator is achievable even when using a  AU fans

v2 blowers are awesome for 355

you would save some pipe and stuffing around if you made another top for your manifold putting the throttles on the other side it will make it neater and easier/less turns

Yea was thinking you could swap the throttles to other side, when I got this manifold there was another vl manifold with throttles on front corners as twin turbo. As I know with charger and current throttle position would make pipe work near impossible !
