Can anyone tell me if I need a specific torque converter for a vs ss? Seeing a mixed opinion on the subject. Vn t700 are or are not the same torque converter as a vs with 4l60e? Some places say yes, some say different splines so it’s got me fucked.

Secondly… Does anyone have a 3000rpm stallie to suit vs ss? That’s willing to post to Bathurst nsw preferrably

    Cheers in advance guys

All depends on the year, here’s what I could find as I have a 3000 R7004 converter here that’s just been cutNcleaned/reco’d..

700R4 trans input shaft changed spline count somewhere around 1985, so 700R4 converters from about 1986 and up are the same as for 4L60 and 4L60E.

    Hope this helps.

Pretty sure the V6 ones have a different input shaft again, still 27 spline but shorter from memory.
