next step from this would have been a Tube Chassis but I was trying to keep it fairly simple…. and failed

Actually doesn’t look overly complicated to me, elegantly simple in many respects, as opposed to shit loads of work to achieve of course…..

I meant the overall project, original idea was to use a stock shell and have everything done as Bolt On’s so if I binned it just grab another and swap everything over…. per usual my project got out of hand… one day I’ll make a plan and stick to it, this thing was meant to be finished in a couple of months..

Competition Coatings TurboX, it has Silver CeramiCoat underneath and inside that’s my old set of Difillipo’s on the Tonner, going with a different/newer product this time that my guy recommended, meant to be harder wearing.

Well there’s something we disagree on

I’m very Non Bling, Satin Black is a good thing!!

Here’s one I prepared in the Mid 80’s!

Yep would be boring as Batshit if everyone built the same thing!

I really enjoy seeing what and how other people build.

Side note I picked up a couple of bags of stainless hardware today to replace the temporary/mismatched fasteners I’d used so far, the OCD side of me will rest well tonight!

    Today End!

Made the rear Parcel shelf/Firewall/Intake duct, hard to get a pic of it due to the flash bouncing around on the sheet metal.

Just have to make the Dusts connecting the Scoops to it all and it’s done, been putting this off for awhile now..

You sir have great skills!  So I think you mentioned you have pulled 500kg? out of it, whats been taken out, I assume all the dash, air con yadi yada, what else?  I assume the 4wd system adds weight or has the custom suspension turned out lighter?

Thanks, I’m a talented hack :XD:

Nah meant it’s 500Kg’s lighter than the Tonner as I was going to Autocross that, not sure how much it’s dropped have to wait to get it on a weigh bridge when it’s complete Gary.

Gotcha, I guess the seat, carpet, dash, sound deadening etc etc must add up to a fair bit.  Carry on :-)

The Dash will go back in to make it a little “prettier” but there’s not much weight in it and I’ll be running a VZ Cluster, from memory the Sound deadening offset the Roll cage, Seats were heavier than expected so there’s a bit in them, ditto on the Tow bar and just “stuff” that’s not going back in, I’m guessing/hoping for around the 1400 mark wet… if not I’ll live with it as I’m not dropping the coin to make a Toy lighter :whistle2:
