Posts: 5 777Would so love to see this thing in the flesh one day. Any plans on a Collingrove event on the horizon?
May 21, 2016 at 6:11 pm #17049Yeah for sure, it’s getting to the point in it’s development cycle I’d be happy to travel with it!

Posts: 5 777Great, keep us posted, be nice to catch up.
May 22, 2016 at 11:33 am #17059I let him know when all the Collingrove events are Gary. But most of em seem to clash with an event at his local track. :(

Tonner has had it’s first shakedown run out to the recycle centre to dump some scrap and waste oil, driving like a bought one, no longer trying to crack the windscreen on the 1>2 shift at light throttle!

Posts: 5 777Thanks for that info Ian, going to have to put that on the list too then, would be a lot of fun I think
May 22, 2016 at 8:25 pm #17072The glide wouldn’t appreciate it much. Once your in top your stay in top.

Posts: 5 777I would pretty much just do it in top gear. First to get it up the hill, then just leave it in top. It would just be for fun anyway
May 23, 2016 at 4:23 pm #17103Depending on your gearing, but you could probably do it all in 1st. Pretty sure I dont get into 3rd in the CV8. So depending on your gearing, could be possible to never shift it into top. :)

Posts: 5 777The gears in mine are straight cut too, so it would take it. Not sure what speed it would pull in 1st, would sound pretty good screaming up there at 7,000 rpm.
May 23, 2016 at 5:00 pm #17113It’s a sub 40 second lap, more than likely do it in 1st no probs as it’ll be traction limited off corners so speeds won’t be so high..
