Yeah. Whilst mine was small it was pretty aggressive. 215/223 .604/.610 112+2
Yep probably NOT the best thing for a daily Driver :XD:
January 24, 2016 at 10:37 pm #13592I daily drove it No probs. The heavy clutch was the downside.
January 25, 2016 at 8:52 am #13593Was thinking more longevity, 50>100K Km’s and the springs wouldn’t be happy…
January 25, 2016 at 11:05 am #13595Yeah would need it’s routine go over. I did 37k with it. Springs were good still. Lunati doubles.

Good move, I always run Duels “just in case”
January 25, 2016 at 12:06 pm #13601Yeah that’s it. My 304 had singles and there was always that doubt if I broke a spring I’m dropping a valve. At least with doubles u have somewhat of a fail safe

I lost an outer in my old Turbo Supra about 80Km’s from home was able to limp it home on the inner with no additional damage..
January 25, 2016 at 5:35 pm #13612Yeah that’s it mate. If it was a single it would of been catch ya valve, piston and bore. Lol

More than likely write the head off as well… (I had 7K+ just in the head alone on that engine)
Duels = cheap insurance :XD:
January 25, 2016 at 6:13 pm #13615Pocket change. Lol

Yep was a bit of a big budget I-6 build at the time, the 7M’s are a very unloved engine and I wanted to see what I could do with one, as usual got a bit carried away..

Yeah actually it had a crack at it…. couple of weeks before I moved up here I was out doing a tune run, came back in at morning peak hour on the Ring road sitting on 100K on cruise control behind a cop car when a rear control arm broke…. a few 360’s through 3 lanes of traffic into the armco and that was the end of that one..
I guess 13 years above 400rwhp took it’s toll on that arm.

Yeah the one before was MUCH worse…. walked away from this one without a scratch and managed to miss everyone else on my way through.. (there was a red scuff on the rear bumper so I clipped someone, they didn’t stop though)
Mate, I am starting to rethink the wisdom of doing Collingrove with you in this Only joking btw!!
I said at the time when you held your hand up for a ride that you were a brave man :XD:
