Posts: 775Dam nice wheel work Ian ,, the cone chicanes look tight
November 20, 2018 at 6:25 pm #27513Thanks Frazer, I clipped one with the mudflaps on run #1 so that was a 5 second penalty…
Made sure after that to NOT hit anything but in doing so my mid chicane speed was 30kmh so I was losing seconds there..
Pretty damn happy to have placed so high on my first visit to the track, the car was consistent and a joy to drive with the Front End mods I’ve done, completed every single Lap even in the 30c+ temps on day #2 after only getting 3 hours sleep following helping a Mate change out his head gasket that blew on day #1…

Back to Autocross Spec for the last event of 2018!
November 20, 2018 at 11:52 pm #27514Just a heads up Motor have a picture and a bit of a blurb about this beast in the Long Termer section of the latest magazine. They took their loaner i30N to Haunted Hills when you were there.
November 21, 2018 at 11:33 am #27515Thanks Dude, was that the print Mag or online?
Link to online please, if Print could you take some pics please?
November 21, 2018 at 7:16 pm #27519Sorry pics are massive for some reason

November 21, 2018 at 7:39 pm #27522LOL thanks, spoke with Scott today he told me it was print only at this point!
November 21, 2018 at 8:23 pm #27523Yeah couldn’t get a decent enough full size photo and it was mostly about the i30N which I didn’t think any one would care about.
November 21, 2018 at 8:37 pm #27524LMAO, things would be very different now the understeers gone
The i30 is a damn impressive little car but Scotty is a class pedaler have seen him do awesome things in total nuggets!
November 29, 2018 at 12:37 pm #27576Following the Hill Climb I had a few weeps and a leak from the Surge tank, rectified it all.
Happiness is a Dry Fat Bitch, was looking like I might not make the last event of the year, the new submersible fuel hose finally turned up so good to go, also had to Tig up a trim on the Tonner tray that had cracked..

December 3, 2018 at 8:52 pm #27590Thanks, have improved the handling so much in the past 4 months, it’s incredible to drive now it no longer tires to kill me multiple times per lap!
December 11, 2018 at 1:26 pm #276281st in S Class for the year!
December 11, 2018 at 6:52 pm #27631Boom. Gotta be wrapt with that mate.
December 11, 2018 at 9:03 pm #27632Yep pretty happy, not a lot of competition in my class but the car has come ahead in leaps and bounds this year and is improving each event.
I’ve taken a few outright fastest days so it has the potential, I just need to drive it better.
