    Sadly yeah…

It’s running again but a bit of a 50/50 result, drivetrain Vibration and Harshness are gone but the final drive noise is still there… at this point I suspect the chain in the transfer case might be a bit stretched…

Gave the Fat Bitch a tub up before Shepparton next weekend, had to put it up in the Air to run the cable for the new WBo2 setup so while it was up I ran it through the gears to listen for the noise..

Not much there in 1st but 2nd and 3rd it whines badly, left it in 3rd raised it up and got under there with a Stethoscope and had a listen up close..

Trans is quiet but the Transfer case is noisy as so I’ll get a rebuild kit from the USA, good thing is I can get it out without pulling the Engine again..

Not so much an AUto issue this time rather a shifter and cable fault, give me the chance to swap in my higher ratio 1st gear set since going down in tyre size and to check out how the internals are holding up under the abuse!

Looks a lot more simple then the one in my land cruiser

That had gears and splines everywhere. Granted mine was on off as had to lock the hubs.

Yeah compared to a 60 it has like 10 parts!  :good:

Collected the last of the bits I need so should have it back together for Sunday’s event!

Yep the Transfer case has minimal parts as well, I thought Gary meant the TH350..

Being AWD there’s no shifting at all and no High/Low ratios so bit of a big empty case, the input bearing was trashed so that was the noise, while I was in there I replaced everything just in case, the pile of parts to the left are the discards.
