Posts: 5 777You have a fun shed life mate!!
July 20, 2018 at 4:39 pm #26757Not so fun today, full day out in the cold fitting this Dirt Bike gear indicator, being a sequential shifter and having an engine that pulls much the same in all gears I was getting lost at times..
Being a motorbike display it gets a touch confused the first cycle but after that it’s fine, it’s the 1N23456 vs N123 in the car..
It uses a magnet and a couple of Hall Sensors for position, and a micro switch for neutral.
July 20, 2018 at 4:47 pm #26758Don’t know what I’m looking at. It good stuff hahaha
July 20, 2018 at 4:51 pm #26759Little LED display with the 3 on the dash
Other pics are just the sensors and switch to make it work… figured for $23 delivered I had nothing to lose!
July 20, 2018 at 5:21 pm #26760Good to know. I will need to do this also.

Nice work, way cheaper than the Dakota set up in mine.
Easiest solution to the issue

Yep my Manual Valve body has engine braking so instead of ripping the handbrake I use 1st to set up for the tight corners.
Beautiful mate, nice work
Thanks Gary, it’s so improved I can’t believe how good the chassis is!
Forgot to mention that was my 3rd ever Lap on that track!

Had a “noise” along with some drivetrain harshness and Vibration for the last 3>4 events…
July 24, 2018 at 8:38 pm #26781Interesting. I was always told never drag it back to 1st unless stopped or at crawling pace.
July 24, 2018 at 9:05 pm #26782Guess it depends on the valve body, I know the normal reverse pattern bodys just freewheel until the road speed drops.
July 25, 2018 at 8:44 pm #26801July 26, 2018 at 6:44 am #26802I’ve done the maths. Based on your worth ethic and speed.
If i book you and your hoist in for a day. I’ll have my car finished.

Is that because IJ is fast, or you’re slow…
