Most important part of a race car is between the seat back and the steering wheel….

Yeah I’m getting to the point where that’s 100% true now..

BUT considering I’m racing with cars that were designed to do just this I think it’s doing ok for a Fat Bitch, nothing in our club get’s close to it on Tarmac so I take heart from that!

The Lexcen is my first time racing a car, let alone on Dirt, I can pedal okish but it’s ALL been road based up until now so there’s a lot to learn, all comes down to seat time so off to Swan Hill for the weekend!

2nd in class to the buggy and 5th overall, this was a State level event so pretty happy, did my PB on both tracks!

(The Buggy took outright, it’s 400Kg and AWD)

Nice vid, love the half lose :)  Did the guy driving across in front of you late in the run look as scary in car as it did on the vid, would have put me off?

    It is a bundleOfun!

Had a harshness/vibration on throttle overrun which in my mind which always defaults to the worst possible scenario was a failing transfer case… turned out to be something far simpler  :yahoo:

Do they really work, have you done a back to back dB test by any chance?

Is that some sort of baffle that was loose?

Surprisingly they work well Gary, I ran 2 at first and it was annoyingly loud, added another 2 and it’s not all that bad, has a bit of a bark at high RPM but there isn’t a Muffler that flows that isn’t loud like that.

Sorry never measured it, was talking with a Mate that races and he thinks it’d easily pass the 95Db at tracks like Sandown.

Yep it’s  Spiral Muffler and the entire Baffle was clanging around inside the can..

I know some of the race car guys in the states swear by those perforated cones, I tried them and didn’t get enough reduction.  Would be super interested to know the actual dB drop.  Very cool.

Should pull a couple of 100hp out of it for Dirt tracks.
