Thanks Gary, it also allowed me to angle the plates down in effect lengthening the Links, on full articulation it would sometimes rub the Drivers side Axle not enough to affect it but it bugged me..
That’s pretty much the last remaining “issue” I have with the car will see how it behaves this Sunday!

April 5, 2018 at 3:11 pm #26237Anything more means a total revamp of the layout, I’m hoping this sorts it!

April 5, 2018 at 4:00 pm #26239Same race from last year, will be interesting to compare the times!
April 6, 2018 at 1:04 pm #26241Washed ready to go, loaded the Tonner so I just have to put the car on the trailer chuck my bags in and I can roll out tomorrow lunchtime for a nice leisurely cruise up!
April 8, 2018 at 8:48 pm #262421st in class 2nd overall the handling is transformed
April 9, 2018 at 10:26 am #262431st lap it went a bit wrong… Tagged the Armco on the bridge with the left 1/4, came into the final corner expecting the usual lack of turn and hit a tyre bundle… Doh, couple of adjustments and it’s so much better than it’s ever been.
Race Day Wrap up!
1st in class, 2nd overall to a very fast WRX, he retired early before it became terminal the Track today was a car destroyer!
I did my fastest ever Lap there and I think with the Track back to it’s usual condition there’s easily another 3>4 seconds in it!
All of the Suspension work has paid of it’s never driven like this before!
Car was faultless other than the Numptie Meat Puppet in control of it, Trans is AWESOME, Shifter got a bit Sticky towards the end of the day, I need to repair and remount the Front Bumper as the Canards work well enough to pull the Skin off the clips!
Roll on next Weekend

April 9, 2018 at 3:03 pm #26245Yeah well pleased, thanks
Vids from Sunday!
April 10, 2018 at 12:27 pm #26247Repaired all the front damage, beat the Canard back into shape and remounted the Bumper a little more securely.
Pulled the Shifter out cleaned half a Kg of Soil out of it and clearanced one of the Ratchet Pawls that was responsible for the sticky downshifts, refitted and adjusted it all so it’s good to go!
Blowing some paint on the rear 1/4 damage CBF’d fixing the little dent as it’s bound to happen again…
April 11, 2018 at 6:20 pm #26250My Fast lap for the day!

Posts: 5 777Just got a chance to watch the vid, beautiful mate, would love a $ for every time I told my lad when he was learning to race “smooth is fast” Car looks and sounds awesome, love the steering work, particularly after the bridge
April 14, 2018 at 12:54 pm #26265Thanks Gary, was still tweaking on the day, first run not nearly enough rear wing… (hence hitting the bridge and then the tyre bundle)
Off to my local tomorrow for another crack after the November debacle last year..

April 14, 2018 at 6:53 pm #26267Probably going to be a Mud Fest but looking forward to it, so happy to have the handling sorted so it’s not like driving a 600Hp Shopping Trolley with a wonky wheel
April 15, 2018 at 3:33 pm #26272Debacle…
600awhp on road tyres in the Mud… how hard could it be?
