Posts: 5 777See I think its looks tough in that shot, I mean its not pretty as such just looks like it means business.
March 12, 2018 at 2:42 pm #26142Yeah same, and funny how camera angle really changes the “size” in the shot with the 2 cars it looks way bigger than the Tonner (it’s not) but in this one it looks smallish!

Posts: 5 777Def your car looks better with shots from lower, the one above on track is nice, the one immediately above makes it look a little portly!!
March 13, 2018 at 5:36 pm #26152LOL It has Big Bones
March 16, 2018 at 3:58 pm #26155Well that was an “interesting” day…
After Wodonga there were some questions in my mind with the Lexcen’s handling it’s a bit sketchy at times and downright bizarre at others..
Got up this morning and made a couple of Toe Gauges out of some material I had on hand bit of a surprise that it has 10mm of Toe out in the front and 7mm Toe out in the rear… (gee I wonder why it’s weird at times) DUH..
Adjusted the rear to 0 and the front to 2mm Out which should increase to 3mm with the Semi Slicks, Even on dirt it’s been a bit special at times now I know why…
March 17, 2018 at 3:08 pm #26156Ready to roll out in the morning!
March 17, 2018 at 5:28 pm #26157And Cancelled…. total fire ban..
March 17, 2018 at 10:14 pm #26158Lol.
March 18, 2018 at 10:19 am #26159Yeah all that effort and build up then….. “crickets”
Trying to get an entry in to Deniliquin next weekend but they’re fussy about tyres so I may not be able to run there…

March 19, 2018 at 10:23 am #26165Got knocked back on the tyres so that’s me done till April..
Next even on the calendar is Swan Hill on the 8th!
March 23, 2018 at 9:33 pm #26182Recorded the ARC rally from Ballarat the other week and was watching it today, I noticed a few of the teams were running bonnet vents about half way along and to the sides, I assume these would be handy low speed sections and while it’s stationary so figured I’d look for some online…
Anything halfway reasonable looking was 100’s of dollars so I figured I still had my Dimple Die I made when I did the boot lid so went down this evening and made some new “Speed Holes”
Of course it can’t be that easy….. after I finished the holes I gave em a wash with PrepSol before blowing some paint on the bare metal.. BZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
The Satin Clear I used last time turned to goo… washed it all down till it was smoothish dried it off and blew what I had left of some Flat Black Engine paint, it’s not great but it’s a LOT better than it was.. (still not fully dry and will probably flat off a bit more)

Posts: 5 777Given it got a cage and also awd, that’s bloody light. Be fun to take it down the 1/4 one day, I imagine it would run a good number.

A friend has eye lashes on her race car…

Yep pretty happy, not long ago I was looking at replacing the Shell with something smaller/lighter but everything cheap/modern was a heavier base weight, the VR is a good compromise for this much power on dirt as it has the wheelbase and track in its favour!
