LOL Passenger seat doesn’t come out!
275/35-19’s, car really needs MUCH bigger rubber but then it’ll break driveline parts…

March 4, 2018 at 8:24 am #26089What diff gear ratio you running?
March 4, 2018 at 10:55 am #260913.46:1 Cav, pretty much stuck with it as there’s nothing available for the front Diff…
March 4, 2018 at 12:52 pm #26092ahh ok good to know
Im also going to be running 3.45 with a 1:1 gear ratio. Hopefully it still has the ability to open its legs when the time permits.
March 4, 2018 at 2:24 pm #26093I put the lower 1st gear in mine so it’s still pretty good off the line.
March 5, 2018 at 12:26 pm #26100Pulled another 12Kg out of it this morning making the total 1353Kg’s wet!

Posts: 5 777If only losing body weight was that easy….
March 5, 2018 at 9:00 pm #26106Don’t really have that problem, pretty damn happy to get the Fat Bitch trimmed down this much really didn’t expect to get it this light!
March 6, 2018 at 6:45 pm #26108Back from Melbourne, the other day when I reinstalled the Pan I noticed a few of the bolt holes in the case were a bid sad and wouldn’t tighten up to spec and felt like they were stripping, grabbed some helicoils and some 8×1.25 capscrews and made it right!
March 7, 2018 at 12:21 pm #26110Parts to make my new Cooler hoses finally arrived, The new Trans “Should” make a good deal more Cooler pressure than the old one and I didn’t want to risk blowing the pushlock fittings, I’d already replaced the section from the connectors to the back of the car after tearing the old rubber lines out last year.. couple of things left to do and it’s ready to go back in.
March 7, 2018 at 4:59 pm #26111Told it to get back in it’s hole and it did! Sad part about this I’ve done the install often enough to have a procedure….
March 8, 2018 at 7:45 pm #26112WOW! that’s half a thing now with a Trans that works!

Posts: 5 777So whens the next event? Tarmac or dirt?
March 9, 2018 at 5:42 pm #26116Next few are on Dirt, be interesting to see how it goes, the Trans is brilliant this time but having said that it did well on the Tarmac last time even though it was 3/4 shagged from day 1…

Posts: 5 777Part me thinks you would be better off going to something fundamentally stronger, but I guess you have the advantage of building yourself, and the satisfaction if it holds together.
March 10, 2018 at 4:04 pm #26121It’ll be more than strong enough the only reason it failed was my assembly error… DOH
The Chassis is so good I was able to drive around the issue on the 2 days and still win comfortably, I took my IR temp gun and each tyre was within a degree or two across the tread face so pretty happy, I was also able to “tune” the suspension/Aero and get the desired effect with each change.
The New build is working perfectly and while I was concerned so much about the little battery I made a good set of jumper leads to bolt to my old Optima Blue top just in case it’s not needed
