You reckon it doesn’t like the constant on/off in 2nd gear?
February 27, 2018 at 5:23 pm #26053Nah there’s something going on with the valve body or the pickup, fairly common in 350’s to lose reverse and 3rd as they share the same clutch pack…
This being the first one I’ve built I may have got it wrong..
Apart from that I’m really happy with the chassis, hit the tyres with the IR Gun and temps are fairly even so it’s working well, responded to all the tweaks I tried.
Fastest time on both days and fastest combined 3 best runs each day gave me the overall win!
February 28, 2018 at 8:53 am #26055What do you think the issues is?
February 28, 2018 at 2:01 pm #26056Assembly error…
Some Numptie (me) put the inner pump gear in backwards and it’s machined the back of the pump housing and created a low pressure situation that’s trashed the Forward and Direct Clutch packs… DOH

Wrecked Pump Housing, the green arrow points to where the “600 Hp Lathe” has machined away the face 70 thou deep” normally I’d machine the surface to save it but it’s too deep..
