Set up my Electric pump to flush the Trans cooler and lines, it blows through a Litre in about 10 seconds…
Bolted the lines up refitted the TailShaft and Filled the Transfer Case, that’s enough for today it’s warming up and very Muggy here..

Posts: 535I don’t think I could live in aussie, it’s to bloody hot for me.
It’s just over 28°C inside here with stuff all breeze and lotsa humidity and I don’t like it. I was built for cold European winters, not this hot semi-tropical weather…..
January 12, 2018 at 1:20 pm #25665I’m confused, thought you were in Australia?

January 14, 2018 at 10:31 am #25677January 14, 2018 at 10:39 am #25678Looks good mate. What size intake you running. I’m chasing a pod like that. But in 5inch opening. How does that sock around it go?
January 14, 2018 at 10:55 am #25679Thanks Cav, it’s all 4″, before I got the Prefilter it would do one 2 day event at Swan Hill and be almost totally clogged, after the prefilter this is 7 months of competition including 5>6 Swan Hill events!
January 15, 2018 at 6:17 am #25687Yeah that makes a masssssssive difference. I never seen them before. Aside from the ones to suit the round carby type filters.
Do you know of a 5inch inlet filter but the equivelant size to yours?
Been doing some reading in the states and they are getting great gains by going 5 inch.
I’m piecing bits and pieces together. Got my MAF card and billet MAF Mount on route from USA.
January 15, 2018 at 7:36 pm #25695Just measure up how much room you have then go to the K&N site and find one that fits!

Same page has the wraps.

Few small bugs with things rubbing but they’re sorted, still have a couple of electronic issues to sort but nothing major!

Posts: 775January 16, 2018 at 9:37 pm #25704The Car felt good moving it around today, Stall is enough that it’s not pushing against the brakes at idle but moves instantly when you touch the throttle.
Gears are all there with 0 delay on selection something no amount of tuning in the 60 would achieve, car even rolls better in neutral engine off than it did before, it was always a bit draggy.
Looking forward to finishing it up and running it next month!
Reverse pattern Valve Body is going to take some getting used to but should be good.
January 16, 2018 at 11:04 pm #25706What made you go reverse?
January 17, 2018 at 4:02 pm #25707Couple of reasons Cav, it’s full manual so in a forward pattern to get to 1st you need to ratchet through 3rd and 2nd, also there’s a chance of missing the 2>3 shift and clicking it into Neutral..
I just have to channel my inner V8 Supercar driver as they shift forward for down and backwards for upshifts..
January 18, 2018 at 2:25 pm #25711Early start to try and beat the heat, Made a gauge mount for the Fuel Pressure and Trans temp gauges (better than the FPGauge jammed in a hole and hot glued) then set up the new Springs, reinforced the Front Airdam mounts and they were getting flogged out being put on and taken off so many times! Got all that done and serviced the Tonner so didn’t beat the heat at all..

Posts: 5 777Mt Gambier is a great spot I reckon, used to love going there when my son was karting. I assume that’s a dirt event? So sounds like its getting pretty sorted now?
January 19, 2018 at 12:40 pm #25722Nah it’s a Tarmac Hillclimb at Port Macdonnell, really don’t know yet as it’s only been in and out of the shed once, I have a few Electronic gremlins to squash then I’ll see, the 350 is as good as I can build one with no corners cut so fingers crossed!
