May 1, 2015 at 9:18 pm #6108Glad ya got it sorted!
Thanks, the Ducting is the last of the big fabrication jobs and one I’ve been putting off for ages now, very happy I got a bolt in Cage or this would be near impossible to get access to, as it is I’m driving the Foot pedal on the Tig with my knee while tacking bits together!
After this it’s just making up the mounts for all the Coolers then I can paint a bunch of bits and start final assembly!

May 3, 2015 at 11:35 am #6185How about a pic from inside the boot. I want to see how big the ‘hole’ is that flows the air into the boot.

LOL I don’t think not paying attention is a chance in this thing!
How about a pic from inside the boot. I want to see how big the ‘hole’ is that flows the air into the boot.
There’s a bunch of holes in the rear parcel shelf, I can make more if needed, Welcome to CP!
(this is my mate I built the AWD Monaro for a couple of years back)

The Dangers of an OCD mind… last night I was researching punch and flare tools, you use these to punch a hole in sheetmetal and then flare it a bit like a countersink for strength.
Found what I needed online but there were a few drawbacks, ex USA and $150 US for starters then I realised I wouldn’t have room in between the boot skin and support frame to use it..
Thought about it a bit in bed and hatched a plan, went down to the shed this morning to see if I had a piece of steel to make the flare component of the tool and found the piece I had in mind… had no intention of working today but OCD Kicked in and this is the end result
May 4, 2015 at 6:30 pm #6247Today!

Posts: 5 777Reminds me of that movie, whatever it’s was, you need to improvise, adapt, overcome… Cool as as usual buddy, coming along very nicely. I reckon you might have to start thing of some cool racing paint scheme for this, way to nice to stay plain white.
May 4, 2015 at 10:31 pm #6266I had thought about using one of the mid 90’s Toyota rally paint schemes, very simple white with a red band….
May 5, 2015 at 10:17 am #6276Just trying to sort this all out in my head ;)
