Posts: 5 777Mate welcome, that is one hell of a spec list! If you get a chance even just throw up some random pics of the build so far, I am sure that will prompt some questions. Kudos for doing most of it yourself too, exactly what this forum is about. Cool as.
I am interested in “IJ Sub Frames & IJ/IRS Suspension” what have you done/got?

Posts: 5 777Hi mate, yep Gary’s the name, instigator of this forum of course with a lot of help from some other guys and gals. I just quickly read your build thread on the LS forum, seriously I just tip my hat to you, designing and fabricating your own race suspension system is just not even next level its three or 4, and looks like that’s just the start. Just brilliant what your doing, really looking forward to watching this progress further. Welcome.
April 3, 2015 at 5:33 pm #3841Wow. That’s the 2nd best ass end I’ve seen today

Thanks again Gary,
Also have to thank Kal for the heads up on the Image workaround!
I had a bit of a headstart on this one as I pulled the Drivetrain from my VZ Tonner so it’s a proven combination, the project was initially meant to be a quick and easy dirty one just bolting the Adventra Subframes in and using flares to cover the tyres…
It got away from me somehow and I’ve as usual gone a bit overboard…
Wow. That’s the 2nd best ass end I’ve seen today
LMAO pics of #1 please!

Yeah my projects always seem to end up that way no matter the intentions…
Wasn’t sure how it was going to be received here being a Toyota!

April 4, 2015 at 8:31 am #3866Thanks guys good to hear,
This is likely to be my last personal build as I’m getting on, I moved to the Country about 5 years back and have done a bunch of other cars for people including an Evo8 an AWD conversion on a VY Monaro and an VY Maloo.

Posts: 5 777Very neat, like the way you have done the adapter RHS tubes picking up on the original seat mount bolt holes. Are they nutserts for the seats into the RHS?

Yes they are, gave me an excuse to play with my new Air/Hydraulic Nutsert gun some more!

Posts: 5 777Funny I bought a manual one a couple of months back, so cool to use. I used it to do my new exhaust hangers as I didn’t want to weld to the body, so I used the nutserts and then welded up hangers to a plate and bolted them on. Cool tool

Always had trouble getting a good tight set on the bigger 8 and 10mm Serts manually, new gun is so easy.

Thanks Nick, most of the pics are up at LS1, anything new I’ll cross post here.
