Been through a few sets of wheels. I picked up a set of like new genuine VX GTS wheels which I ran for a few months then bought some billets which I’m running now. Still have the GTS wheels though as they are literally like new, they still had the factory stickers on them.

Apart from that just been continually tidying up the engine bay in readiness for HSVFest in Albury on the June long weekend.

Havent touched the motor yet. Maybe at tax time.

I drove it to orange and back the other week and it didn’t miss a beat.

Best VN model made, big cubes and Perkin’s developed intake…beautiful car mate.Soooo much potential in that engine,i’m sure you’ll get there.

Had a chance to have some full throttle runs with this car behind me on the other forum’s winter cruise a few years back now.Don’t know what it was making then but mine had no trouble pulling away.

Big fan of the OM’s ,don’t know about the 20″ version though.Gold FR’s suit the car nicely.

Yeah its a pretty mild motor really. I think I found why it was running pretty crap, I pulled all the plugs out and they were fucked. New plugs and dizzy cap with coated pipes and its running nice and strong now.

It’s got custom painted billets on it now. Not changing for anything at this point. Also running Federal 595 RSRR semis and they are awesome.

Had the pipes coated by Hi Octane coatings and they did an epic job

Engine bay tidy up continues, cleaning, polishing etc and changed AN fittings from red and blue to black. Coated all the engine bay intake pipe, air box with gyeon trim coating. Painted the fan shroud. Battery going into the boot in next week or so and engine bay wiring will be hidden at some point too.

Apart from that just more wet sanding of the paint and hours on the machine getting the paint prepped for two upcoming shows.

Needs a cover over the top of the radiator. For looks and cooling purposes.

The car continues to win trophies which I’m extremely happy about.

The gentleman above created the masterpiece in the boot too. I used to be ashamed to open the boot. Not any more!

Thought of getting a bit of stagger on the rears?  One of the things I don’t like on second gens is how the rears tuck in so much with standard offset.  Could even try bolt on spacers?  Just a thought, the cars awesome as it is, just just obviously chasing perfection

SV5000 already has VL diff. Same as VN Group A. Planning on getting my billets at the rear re-hooped to give me some more width and dish.

    I can see that ;-)

How do they rehoop billets?  Somehow part out the centre and redo it?

Most billets the centre is welded into the hoops. Cut the centre out and re-hoop.

Some pics from HSVfest in Albury last weekend.

You really need a cover to cover the gap between radiator and body.
