Some of you will remember this car from the other forum. I ended up buying it a few weeks ago and have been slowly getting it to the level I want it at.
I have a little side business of detailing and as such this is to be a showcase.
The paint is at about 90% now but I am not finished yet. Chubby helped with some engine bay bits and pieces and I have slowly tidied a lot of things up that were ok but not perfect. The FR20s went on a couple of weeks ago and am planning on getting the door trims and rear seat re-trimmed and have purchased a lot of NOS gear to return the shifter setup to a factory look.

March 17, 2015 at 1:12 pm #2852Killer car mate, did you buy it from QLD?
March 17, 2015 at 1:41 pm #2855Yeah.
March 17, 2015 at 7:20 pm #2869More work on the SV. Swapping the leather gear boot and knob back to a factory look, went to pick and Payless for some door skin grommets (interior of the door) which were weirdly missing. Fitting them. Then kept going on the paint. For a car that will get driven this is about as far as I can go with the paint and still drive it regularly. It’s not practical to go the last 5%. Yes that photo of the poster is in the bonnet and what’s that hiding in the corner garage
March 17, 2015 at 7:22 pm #2870What happened to Perkins intake?

Keeping gauges?
What did Glenn buy?

March 17, 2015 at 8:27 pm #2888This is a hell of a car, have been watching it on PF (insert swear word here).
Amazing job on the paint, would be great to see a video of how you do it, or even a recommendation on a video to watch.
Will be keeping an eye on this thread with great interest
March 17, 2015 at 8:39 pm #2891Watch the drive clean videos on YouTube with larry they are pretty good.
It’ll be going off to Kal in a few months to have the engine bay tidied up a bit and get a proper boot install done

March 18, 2015 at 10:13 am #2960This is up there for best VN, the contrast between the Green and Gold is spot on! If you don’t mind me asking (and you don’t have to say if you don’t want) what did you pay for it above 25K?
March 18, 2015 at 10:28 am #2963Rather not say. It was more than that.
