Yea mate guessing they were retrimmed so thats good for me as senator seats in a ute would be a bit strange, ill eventually have them retrimmed. Not had much time to work on ute for a while.

Here is another pic of her with my mates vet

Because i like to be all over the place with my build i am currently thinking maybe a v2 charger for the ute, just pricing things up at the moment.

Will do some more panel work to ute, respray hard lid as it never got done and unhappy with one of the guards as a small mark in clear coat as was lazy when painting it with some masking.

Yea but will respray guard, accidentally clicked antenna bezel in and didn’t want to break it taking it out so masked around it and clear not perfect around edge.

Na mate its custom built wouldnt think its common, its so you can use garage as extra living space if you wanted to.  Its great as i can just get up off the couch and do some work on car still talking to the fiancee and watching whatever tv show i was lol

Have started stripping out a lot of the interior, as its a bit 2005 at the moment. Also been getting new door vents and odd plastic trim pieces that have got damaged over the years. Pic a part been good hunting as many granpa spec cars there that have never felt the touch of a young P plater haha

New carpet respraying my dash facias a colour closer to standard, retrim the door tims and fit all new plastic door vents, new tint etc and fitting ratchet shifter integrated into standard surrounds.

So started pulling interior apart its out with the 2007 look of colour coded plastics.I want to paint all my plastics a satin/matt black like this car, i will also be doing a ratchet shifter same way as in this car.

Also cant decide what to do with door trims, i like them i know some people are not a fan of them i will be changing the old wood grain that i painted blue to just gloss black.

However this is my problem i dont know what to do with the cloth part as its stained and want to retrim.

I have full ss cloth that i purchased originally to retrim the devonish seats to give them an ss look but every one is telling me to keep the senator look.

So if i keep the senator look what should i do with inserts, if i go ss look obviously they willl be done in ss material

For something different i took the tops off a vs caprice leather door trim and made them fit the original door card. It gets rid of the crappy looking material.  :good:

Id get them done in the ss trim looks more in theme with the car, also means that you have brand new trim. Nothing else in your trim is that slate grey plush velour and the senator runs visors, door trims to match with that veliour etc

Just not sure if the ss trim will be a bit much on the door trim as its quite a large area of the door

Mate that looks mint, did getting the door reupholstered cost much? Did you paint the rest of the door trim black or is it all new?
