Yea reads that way, i mean i aint got no engine builder as A) he is retired and B) has done what i needed. I picked the combo etc last time, so hopefully this one works out, with those heads should be fine.

No need for mech roller. 288 will go 520hp no worries. Tried and tested.

The one i listed is same as a 288 only difference is more lift

    So can only be better

Its a new of the shelf grind released recently and ill bet it takes 288 spot

^^^ oops didnt see the part about mechanical roller

    My bad, carry on

If you ho flat tappet then year 288, if you go roller then i would go the new one but not sure if you can just slap a roller into a existing flat tappet

Na u can’t, I’ll get a 288 kit soon. What roller rockers would be best without breaking the bank?

    Pretty  much  no

Have you got 5/16 or 7/16 rocker studs ??

Your talking up around 350-380lbs  open valve pressure (I think)

dont think a affordable rocker is in existence except poo comp might have some puss

an get yella terra street series 5/16 rockers  for like $640 ish and think that’s rated to 400lbs pressure and if you have 7/16 I’m not sure as platinum’s are about $42 thousand pesos if you happen to be in the Philippines or shit loads in oz

maybe if crane gold series do a adjustable rocker would also be good but I’m not sure they do or not

I personally would not trust any of the scorpion, home brand, Chinese rip offs at 380lbs at 6800rpm

just go around and borrow cavas for the next 3 years or so

    What do u have now?

If if what u have now aren’t up to the task buy Tony’s old ones. They need to be adjustable so we can set lash etc.

Any good quality 7/16 stud mount rocker will do the job. Hit up Engine Parts 24 Seven on ebay, he has Crane Cam kits, Crane Gold rockers and ARP rocker stud/Crane guide plate kit.

Have street rollers on my heads at the moment but obviously will get something more suitable, just dont know how good i need to go. How do the yella terras n crane compare to each other?

Yella terra platinums would be far supperia to crane gold series

I dont think crane golds come in adjustable

Also they are not shaft mouted like yella terra

Look up the specs of yours and if they are the adjustable ones and good for 400 lbs spring pressure they will do the job and next step from there is $1150 platinums

When i built my engine i had a set of crane golds with intentions of goin a hydrolic cam but was advised by pavtek to go shaft mounted so i returned them as i only got them a week earlier and then it all blow out and i went solid cam as well

Platinums are overkill for this. Stud mount rockers are adjustable and would be more than up too the task.

Yeah I also agree platinum’s are over kill for this

I would stick with the street terra you have, biggest question are they 5/16 or 7/16 studs as I would want 7/16

5/16 will probley still do fine,  I’m not sure what the recommendations are on this

So finnaly came across a set of devonish front seats, got them for a great price and actually in really really good condition!! The ss seats were getting a little ruff. So i put them in the ute and actually look pretty decent for now although will have retrimmed. I have new ss seat material etc that i got off ebay a while ago. I know some people will not like. All the dash plastics that were painted blue 7 years ago will be sprayed gloss black. As realise that the blue is a little ricer. Steering wheel will be retrimmed and new carpet. The carpet is gray and thinking maybe going black.

Not done much towards cam swap as been very busy with work and saving money for going overseas. Not in any crazy hurry with it as quite happy driving it as is.
