Needs more twin turbo LSx conversion and 9sec 1/4’s or you’re wasting your time and money……..

i dint seenhow  how this wouldn’t be to anyone’s taste? Super clean. Super tough, and I assume quite street able. Looks perfect to me.

Haha cheers mate yea its very streetable drove it like that (minus spray job) for 25-30kms. No dramas except for the odd fried box and dead diff. Harrop centre fixed that.

Plans are all new interior as got two meters of original vs ss ute material and the grey material. Just need some devonish seats.

Then a new y peice as this one is to restrictive as its 70mm into two 70s as it should be 90 into two 70s.  Want to get a stainless zaust made for it as the one on it is ten or so years old, had a few bodgy patches etc. Not sure if to go twins or stick with single.

So i just picked up these heads from a mate

As can be seen they have bigger valves and are a hand ported higgins head!

So i am thinking of going a 280 or 288 cam, thoughts?

I will get heads cleaned up, they already have stainless steel valves but will need new valve springs as was running big solid roller. Will get some green tops, up the compression and possibly buy cavs trimatic to run behind it as dont think the 4l60e will like this combo much.

I have h beam rods, arp studs, stud girdle etc. Only problem is i have speed pro valve releif pistons, some people think they will not like big revs. Thoughts?

Good to see you come over mate. Love your rig. I do recommend a cam into the 240’s to harness your inlet manifold and new exhaust. It will sound tuff and go like the clappers. Your 3.7 and 3000 stall will complement it perfectly.

    Cheers. :)

Suppose it all comes down to how cranky you want it and where you want your rpm range to be

Still will drive it on street on nice days but have two other dailys so not a necessity. Will upgrade box to a tri most likely. Want more power, quicker down the strip. But still decent to drive on the road, will hardly see hwy use. But thinking reving to 7k may be pushing it as only speed pro pistons

Nope I actually take back the 288

throw that in the bin and get either

crane R-250-390-2s-8 this is pretty much a 288 but with lift designed for real men

crane R-256-390-2s1-7 and this is simply better but is getting big

both these are cranes new cams with proper lift

    No need for mech roller.

288 will go 520hp no worries. Tried and tested.

Aint got no engine builder, i built bottom end when first built to handle 500hp, so just a matter of heads that will work n a nice stick.
