Posts: 64Wouldn’t it be easier just to swap the whole thing over , only 1 bolt.
May 7, 2015 at 8:22 pm #6465Think you will find they don’t come apart, they are mad as a tamper proof not to be pulled apart safety device that simple bolts in and that’s it, if they could be pulled apart then guys in the back yard called bob would be tampering with them and then car manufactures would be getting sued because the spring wasn’t installed correctly and bobs friends flow out the window
if you do pull it apart I think you find the plastic outer casing will be in more then 2 pieces
May 8, 2015 at 7:39 am #6482You dont need to pull it apart I’ve seen em for sale on ebay. So I tried popping them out on mine. One went ok and the other broke. The way I done it just seemed a little rough so I was wondering if theres a trick to doing it easier. They’re just held in by one plastic tab but its flexing the tab out the hole in the orange button thats difficult

May 8, 2015 at 3:47 pm #6504Technically I think its illegal to fit 2nd hand seatbelt to a roadworthy car anyway

Posts: 71If they work as per normal then it should be fine. How’s a mechanic who’s writing the rwc gonna know it was second hand?
