Posts: 5 777You guys level of knowledge is obviously way past mine, but what I do know is its as much about how stuff works together. Whatever anyway that’s bloody beautiful numbers for an NA engine, sounds awesome.
October 18, 2015 at 12:37 pm #10242That’s it Gary. Complementing parts play a massive part. Although sometimes in practice it does everything against what it says in theory.
Mine me should never have made what it did with the parts I used lol
i just kept kept giving it a few extra rpm til it was happy hahahah

October 18, 2015 at 1:02 pm #10245Yes Manta, both 1 3/4 primaries. Same collector size and very similar collector length. I’ve been told a heap of times that Holden V8’s love the Try Y’s, but these things should’ve been spot on. They were supposed to be the correct ‘everything.’ Anyhow, doesn’t matter, it was a good back to back test and I’m rid of them.
A friend is about to put them on his NOS 355. I think they may be better suited to FI. And your pipes are pretty good Manta, not off the shelf jobs.
And yeap, it’s all about matching parts.
October 18, 2015 at 1:07 pm #10246Trying to load pics Gary via photobucket. Not working…. I know it’s a pain in the arse, but could you be bothered if I e-mailed you the pics? If not, no stress.
I’m using an iPad
Also, I’ll sent dyno footage of the 4 into 1’s. Sounds a lot better than Try Y’s

Posts: 5 777On another note, what trans are you running? I assume a stalled auto? Be very interested now you have a actual engine dyno number, to spin it up on the rollers and see what it makes on a chassis dyno. What would you guess around 550rwhp?
October 18, 2015 at 3:45 pm #10256Good old TP manifolds and their beautiful runners.
October 18, 2015 at 4:12 pm #10259Come over Gary. Would also like a look at your pride and joy.
Running manualised forward pattern T400. That and the worm drive 9″ really sucks a lot of power. Sending more pics Gary

Sorry to do it to you Gary, I’m smashing you with e-mails. Just do it at your leisure if you can be bothered that is
