Hi Guys, This is my new project I have just purchased a 1984 rust free VK.
It currently has:
A freshly built 308 with flatties, a huge cam, edgelbrock manifold and 750 double pumper. But Planning on a 355 stroker.
New Trimatic with stage 2 shift kit, 3800 stall and ratchet shift. Probably going to trade in for a T5
New diff with true track and 308 gears, which might I add is very strange ratio for engine/box combo Will definitely be changing out that ratio!
Will post build pics

October 8, 2018 at 11:23 pm #27305I have been told that this is an extremely hard kit to fit with major modifications to guards, doors and front end. Quoted 10 grand to fit and undercoat! But I have all the gear to do it myself, so let the games begin!

The belt slap would suggest that they kept the 3.08 gears in the rear for wheel speed.
Or they were just cheap lol

Posts: 4Take a fair bit of time on the LH front flare as its normally a prick to line up with the front bar & getting the same height as the RH one. (I built the white VKGRPC road car), good luck!
