    Name: Andy
Model: 2002 Holden WH Statesman International LS8
    Colour: Phantom (Black with sparkle)
    Bodykit: Grange Bootlip
    Engine Type: 5.7L LS1
Engine Mods: K&N air intake (hate it)
    Power: Stock … for now!
    Exhaust: Custom fabbed mandrel-bent twin-2.5″ cat-back
    Gearbox: Slugomatic
    Diff: Factory 3.08 LSD
Brakes: AP Racing 4-piston calipers with HSV 330mm front rotors and AP Racing pads, stock rear
Suspension: Standard struts all round, standard springs in the front, Kings SLs in the rear (to level the car out)
    Wheels/Tyres: 19″ VZ Series 2 Maloo R8 wheels
Interior: Ochre leather with perforated inserts, with french seams in Ochre thread (caramel-ish colour)
Stereo: JVC Headunit, phone kit deleted
Other Mods: All stock at the moment
Build Period: Purchased 2nd Dec 2014
    Cost: Plenty

List of things to do (in no specific order):

    • Sort out front suspension – new bushes and struts/etc to go in
    • Replace front wheel bearings
    • Replace a few blown dash light globes
    • Replace both rocker cover gaskets
    • Change diff fluid
    • Fit replacement extractors – DiFilippo 4-1 headers, hi-flow cats
    • Replace air intake, not sure if will get box/pod or OTR
    • TUNE THE DAMN THING
    • Source decent rear brakes
    • Once rear brakes sorted, work out what needs to be replaced – bushes, etc
    • Replace rear struts with shortened struts
    • Possibly paint the car – closed door job, as paint is pretty tired and clear is peeling everywhere
    • Rectify the faded leather seats – rear is pretty bad, fronts are quite good
    • Find a set of excellent condition factory-fitted Monaro headlights
    • Mods!

Would love to find the seats/cards from a WH Grange , only if they’re Coulson-style though.

FINALLY gave the WH Stato some love.

Replaced the ailing standard front brakes with a set of AP Racing 4-pistons calipers, complete with 330mm HSV rotors and a set of pads I know nothing about.

Kit was cheap as chips to buy through a friend, and came with a braided hose already attached for each caliper – winning.

    Next on the cards is:

New front tyres – yet to pick what; 245/35/19
    Replace both front wheel bearings
Replace radius rod bushes and castor bushes
Replace sway bar links with shortened Nolathane items
Replace front struts with shortened items, along with the Kings SL spring I already have put aside
    Replace sway bar mount bushes
Find a decent strut brace – this ol’ tank needs all the support it can get

Then move onto the rear of the car… was going to get a set of VZ SSZ rear brakes but the rotors are only 2mm thicker than the standard brakes. Going to keep an eye out for a set of HSV rear calipers from a Harrop brake kit instead. Will work out what else needs to be replaced once I have brakes lined up.
