Buy some Holley valve covers. They are to suit LS3 coils. But u can use stock ones and just use a single top bolt. I did this and it made it a shit load cleaner.

Posts: 5 777Yea gotta agree, I see no reason to delete the booster. Tons of options for the coil packs. As Cava has posted above, or hide them down the back like I did, or put them in the wiper tray like Cappsy.
May 10, 2016 at 6:49 am #16730The high mount air con kit is needed unless you want to make your own brackets and mod a smaller unit like an astra one which ive seen fitted in factory postion before. Although the high mount alternator kit from crs you listed isnt needed its pretty tight but factory ls1 stuff is fine for that.
May 10, 2016 at 7:26 am #16731MKAL auto motive make a custom bracket and Ac pump to fit in the factory location. How ever it’s around the $1500 mark.
Tbh the high mount pump look very messy. I rather not have the Ac if that was the case.

Posts: 5 777Am I right (or on drugs) did I not see an electric air con pump unit a while back? Could remote mount it like the ps pump? Mind you the alternator i imagine would need an upgrade…
May 10, 2016 at 5:41 pm #16751These cars that turn on and off when stationary will have elec pump. But I can’t imagine them being cheap at all.
I generally just wind down the window…

Posts: 5 777Nothing wrong with the creature comforts. One day I reckon I will maybe redo the aircon.
May 10, 2016 at 7:22 pm #16758A bottle of lube at 37.6deg Is a creature comfort, not AC

October 20, 2016 at 12:45 pm #20240thx for the replies, I’ve decided ill be hunting around for someone elses unfinished LS commo project and commit to the swap for the vn if something comes up
Not being able to do the work myself, starting the conversion from scratch with new/near new parts is going to cost at least 17g after everything is done including all the little things we forget about.
