    Thought I would start a thread on how people have overcome the clearance issues of the LS sump at the back corners on the K Frame when doing a swap into the early Commodores.

    I used ended up modifying my K Frame, but since doing that I have seen others actually trim the back corners of the sump and having filler pieces welded in.

    Post up pics of what you have done, here’s mine

    I have seen someone somewhere (I wish I could remember) who trimmed the back corners off the sump and welded it up.  Honestly I reckon if I were doing it again I would go that way.

    Haven’t touched the sump or cross member on my VK, using a VN v6 cross member and rack.

    Hi, Probably me. I cut the corners off rear of the sump and had some ali pieces welded in. I did post some pics up. I think I added the pictures to one of your threads regarding LS install info.
