Im having issues posting from Photobucket
the links look like this when I post from my IPad:
%5BURL=http://s124.photobucket.com/user/reddavehasbeentaken/media/VL%20Commodore/IMG_0224_zpsnnbc809b.jpg.html%5D%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p30/reddavehasbeentaken/VL%20Commodore/IMG_0224_zpsnnbc809b.jpg%5B/IMG%5D%5B/URL%5D
If I do it on a PC it’s fine, just the iPad, it might be me being retarded but I’ve been doing it this way the whole time I’ve been here, only the past week has it played up

Posts: 59How many people on here are now affected by Photobuckets change of Terms & Agreements ?
Basically I am screwed as there are no longer 3rd Party Hosting Images to forum etc unless you become a paying member.
The year fees are nothing short of extorsion.

Posts: 535Didn’t like Photobucket either TBH, I’m not a fan of the so called “cloud computing” craze period because what Photobucket have done will happen more and more where so called free storage will suddenly incur fees and your data will be held to ransom effectively.
I keep all my stuff on my home server.

I do too, actually on a usb stick I keep on my key ring, but also at work on my personal drive so its backed up. But am I right, that programs like PB are the only way to get the image code for posts in the forum?
Also, still unsure why all my image links work form PB, but I see others don’t, why is that?

Posts: 585All my pics are gone, they just show a message about upgrading my subscription to allow 3rd party hosting. What a joke, their Facebook page is exploding with complaints. It’s gone from a free service to $399, shitloads of build threads will be affected, and a thread without pics is almost useless and will reduce forum users and visitors

Yep, $5 a month thereabouts wouldn’t be too bad, but from all accounts you need a Plus 500 account to be able to link images to be shown in forums

Posts: 5 777If that’s the case that’s just insane, I just found them on FB, wow people are not happy. Incredible anyone in business would make a decision like that and not have half an idea what the consequences may be. $399 is just crazy. I think maybe I am not effected (yet) because way back I signed up for a $2 a month account so i wouldn’t get the adds. But its says it runs out in August, I assume after that the cost will go up.

Posts: 535Probably only a matter of time before your pics don’t work me thinks.
You could always host the pics directly on your own forum server.
