hey guys after a set of 8 injectors for a 304 Holden soon to be supercharged with a whipple 2.4 inter cooled system?? I’ve been looking at the original injectors on eBay that have been capped to higher lb from 19 up to 42??? Wondering what they are like if anyone has used them ?? Or buying the newer ls style green Bosch ones that are 42s and if I do do I need to modify them??? And also would I be better off buying a new set of say Lucas 42 ev1 style or a set of Holley or yeah any help would be awesome cheers???? :bye: :bye:

Posts: 5 777I just bought Injector Dynamics for mine, they are basically a Bosch motorsport injector then tweaked. they are expensive but pretty widely regarded as one of the best. I went ID750 for my application.

Posts: 535Rather then just us all throwing numbers out there for what ever injector size we think it it needs the OP is better off going to one of the many online fuel injector calculators which will tell you what you will need with a lot more accuracy. All you really need to know is the expected power output, and the fuel pressure you will be running which really depends on the injector type/brand you intend to use although most injectors are tested/rated @ either 3 bar or 3.5 bar. The rest of the info will be on the website.
This is one I like to use https://www.rceng.com/technical.aspx

Auto 2800 hi stall, stage 11 shift kit 3:9 gears. Loving it for a 5 ltr! 100 shot noz for Xmas would be nice.

Posts: 5 777But a prob Cav is the bigger you go the less control you have at small flows which comes into play in the tune for a streeter which spends a lot of time at very light throttle openings. Bigger isn’t always better. Goldilocks, not too small, not too big, but just right.
July 14, 2016 at 1:47 pm #1841460’s trim up nicely. Would like to see the duty cycle on those 42’s.
I’ll have big ones in mine.
