Posts: 227Right so mine is starting to look pretty shabby, see attachment. Been looking on ebay regularly and one finally appeared… $350, WTF, not even new! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/181693591842
I’ll pass… Surely be cheaper to get mine retrimmed.

Posts: 227Cheers FLI. Where did you get the momo one from?
I think i’ll look at getting mine retrimmed if I can find someone that can do the HSV stamp in it.
Mate that I got the car from (8 years ago) said he looked at getting a new one when he first got it (5 years before that) but the stamp wasn’t deep. Just if he bought a dozen of em!

My VS brake upgrade thread - http://www.commodoresplus.com.au/forums/topic/vs-brake-upgrades/March 20, 2015 at 7:23 am #3094Ebay. Just under $100 and its beautiful quality. There is a new VT HSV knob on there which is what I really wanted as I have the 6 speed and they want $900 for it!! I offered them $400 and then said no lol.

Posts: 5 777I think its the future though, these cars are going to start getting harder and harder to find genuine parts for. Once they start falling into the genuine restoration category (they are just on the cusp of that imo), prices will just climb and climb as people want genuine or nothing else. Basic market economics really, as availability goes down but demand goes up, prices increase.
March 20, 2015 at 9:47 am #3105I stuffed up. There was a roller for sale not long ago with this consol setup and leather Devonish interior. He wanted 2k for the whole car. If only I knew.
damn

Posts: 5 777So we are taking correct period reproduction of early (VR) manual HSV gear knobs?
April 7, 2015 at 5:19 pm #4163Correct…
If you take leather off it is a T5 knob wrapped in leather.
I have the HSV leather stamp..

Posts: 227Sign me up VPGTS76, I WANT ONE! I would be doing a run of a hundred if I was you… if you can find the T5 knobs…
I wondered if it was the T5 knob underneath as I can just see the circle that goes around the gear pattern on mine…

Posts: 5 777I’m in, never know if/when I go manual. Although a Hollinger sequential box is my pick

Why not sell them on an exchange basis, customer sends you their old HSV/T5 knob then you return them a New Leather HSV one
April 7, 2015 at 7:13 pm #4178I only have one of these for my VS
Make these but in a 5 speed and R in 6th spot
But I’ll just keep this one as I have 6speed
And I’m with Gary but I’m goin a PPG t56 sequential dog box
Much cheaper then a hollenger and still uses a normal clutch and slave ciylendar so it’s a straight bolt in
