Posts: 14Can someone describe how to put images into a thread.
when I try, the text for the url with the img tags are shown once the edit is completed.
March 2, 2015 at 9:48 pm #1466Hi,
You’re the second person on the thread who is having a similar problem – I’m working on it right now. Could you confirm what browser you’re using? is it a windows or mac?
In the mean time you can upload pictures that are less than 500kb through the upload button below this reply box.
Cheers!

I tried Chrome, too but no luck,
I’ve tried to post images using both the visual and text options to add an image.I’m attempting to add images here:
http://www.commodoresplus.com.au/forums/topic/vl-walkinshaw-replica-build/March 2, 2015 at 9:59 pm #1507Sorry about that, I’m on it!
It is working fine for me, so if you would just leave the post for about 20 minutes (don’t hit edit as it overrides the changes), I will manually update all the pictures so they’re showing in your thread
Cheers,
Georgie

Posts: 14Thanks for the Tip Kal,
odd, I was pulling them from the images in my SC thread, and they were appearing in the preview.
I’ll have a crack at the second thread and pull the urls from photobucket again.March 2, 2015 at 10:11 pm #1527I have updated your post now

Has this fixed the problem?

Are you using [ img ] tags around it?

Posts: 57Been wrestling with the image tags for the last 20 minutes on a thread I put up in the How To section, and I still cannot get them to render. Checked the tags, even got the images to show in the post editor, but it just displays a wall of text??

March 3, 2015 at 12:07 pm #1660Hi there,
Quick update ~ I ended up crashing out about 1am yesterday as I’d been at it since 8am! However, it looks like I have found a solution to this problem that is working fine in testing.
It should be an easy fix however I will be doing it tonight around 1am in order to minimise any of the inconvenience on users Therefore there may be a period at this time where users get a ‘maintenance mode’ screen temporarily. Sorry guys!
In the meantime, if you do experience this issue, I suggest trying the following in order:
1. Clear your caches in your browser & make sure Javascript is enabled (usually under Settings or Preferences, should be enabled by default but this needs to be ruled out as the source of the problem).
2. If it does not work, try using [ img ] tags (without the space) instead temporarily.
3. If it still doesn’t work, try uploading files as attachments instead. They must be <500kb.
Hope that works as a stop gap until I can get this stuff sorted for you! I’ll be busy today so not quite as able to keep on top of things until the evening, but I will do my very best.
