It has been a very rough few months with a few things that has been going on in day to day life.

Thought i better check in and update wether all want to hear it or not haha.

In august Matt pulled out my gearbox as it was going some really strange things. it was slipping in top, and in 1st felt like you were driving with the handbrake on. With Performance Car Mania just around the corner we had to make sure it was right otherwise i may have been out for the weekend.

The gearbox was taken to Pro Matic Transmissions [PTC Components] In Tullamarine to get a check over.

It was a little short of disheartening to what was found. We’ll just say all that was re-used from the first rebuild was the Case, Drum [which i bought from summit], oil pump and b&m pan.

The rest was START AGAIN :negative:

1 week later we got it back and it the best its ever been! Can’t recommend Johnny enough :good:

1 week AFTER the gearbox was put in it was time for PCM! [Performance Car Mania] at Winton Motor Raceway.

I had the pcm de-tuned with less timing, little richer and 6800rpm rev limiter just to be on the safe side.

With the new gearbox in, and finally a chance to learn the car its good to see what it is capable of.

Its actually really lively which surprised me a bit.

I won 4 out 5 drag races before being knocked out :negative:

and also did my first powerskid! so it’s all happening.

Its next outing will be this sunday [24th sept] for the Melbourne VL Cruise.

normally i’m not a fan, but, when the organizer approaches you and asks you to go you make an appearance i guess.

    1st powerskid

Sounds good man, Performance Car Mania is a fantastic event.

Don’t read into all the haters on the internet saying how shit it is. Most of them have never even been.

Its a great event to learn the car and do stuff you can’t do on the road. Its ran really well by Sarah and it’s on the calendar for every year.

Agreed man, he is an absolute gentleman! Wouldn’t go to anybody else now ever.

September 24th the event organiser asked me to attend the Annual Vl Cruise at the Docklands. So, when you are invited you turn up! I brought my good friend Matt Smoors along for the ride.

I definitely have never seen soo many vl’s in one place.

I definitely felt out of place with a Naturally Aspirated LS2 swapped vl. but, it did bring alot of the right attention which is cool!

    here are some pics:

Friday the 6th of October i decided to put the Vl on the rollers at Stout Automotive.

Go see them if you need a tune! They are absolute gentleman.

Anyway, It was a good way to see improvements after my BIG transmission and diff dilemma.

The dyno being the same figures wise as the last place i buzzed it up showed a 12rwkw increase for a working diff and a working trans which is a good day in my book!

Absolutely hanging to race it now!

Just 1 more dyno day to support Frank at All Sparks.

If you are in the area drop past and see this nugget grace his rollers.

The boys! Matt, Steve, Brad and Shane. Matt [Hollywood] is hiding somewhere as well

    Thanks man :good:

Hopefully man! We are looking at trying to chase a 10.4. If i get that then i’ll probably call it a day with racing.

Y think there will be a diff ratio change to make it ultimately happen [from 3.9 to 4.11]

Had an absolute ball at the Allsparks Performance Dyno day.

I have always wanted to do one, but had always had a broken car  :negative:

Anyway, a best run of 310rwkw then a re tighten of the straps and we are at 304.9rwkw on the 2nd pull.

The vl is still where is needs to be which is killer.

Massive shout out to Frank, Zammit, Chirks, Gordy and Christian for making us feel at home. It was a pleasure to come down and support Frank and Allsparks Performance. You are all gentleman  :good:
