We have had a nice influx of new members so we thought we would post up a notice re the advertising down the side of the forum and also for the totally optional donations for anyone interested.
The intention for the forum from day one was (and is) for it to be self funding. It needs to be otherwise whoever is trying to maintain it eventually wont be able to and it will either just stay the same, or even just die off. We guarantee that all and any money raised on the forum either through advertising or donations will go 100% to the running cost of the site, and paying for future upgrades and improvements to keep the site fresh and nice to be on, so it will benefit all members.
As you can see there are advertising spots on the right hand side of the forum. Eventually these will be rented for a small fee to help with those running and set up costs. Likewise members are able to donate (totally optionally) a small amount to help with the running of the forum.
The advertising spots available for free for the first 6 months. The idea is this lets people show what they have and also see how the forum evolves at first. Hopefully in 6 months time people will be getting some value out of being on here and will be happy to pay a small maintenance cost. The only proviso is they must be in some way car or CommodoresPlus related, car clubs for example are fine.
So if any of you would like to advertise, please feel free to create your tiles the larger is 650w x 800h, the smaller is 650w x 325h (in pixels) and we will post them up on the forum. (examples below)
Please email them to advertising@commodoresplus.com.au
If you do and you dont see it posted up, please send a follow up email and we will chase it up and make sure its posted.
There can also be a hyperlink to your website/fb page when someone clicks on the image so be sure to include the URL you want it to point too.
