    I think the issue as IJ pointed out though is the T700 (& 4L60e) are a one piece case design, so you cant swap the bell housing. The 4L65e has a split case. I reckon that CRS adapter is pretty simple way to go.

    as per above you just cut off the bellhousing

    As above, Transtyle modify the bellhousing so it bolts up to a trimatic block for about the same money as a adapter plate.

    Dellows sell adaptor kits turbo to tri & vice versa.

    If really want you can go that way or if rebuilding an engine machine shop can organise bolt  pattern change.

     

    I was using kit for trimatic to turbo blocks,still got it should sell it.
