Just after recommendations for a diff place in Sydney. Basically a drive in- drive out place. I have a set of FR19s which are 9inch wide at the rear and have 245 rubber and want the diff built to fit these in the rear.
I’m looking at getting a diff shortened, 31 spline axles, trutrack centre and 3.9 gears with a housing supplied by the shop.

Spoke to D & R Differentials and Smithfield diff and gear. Both very helpful and knowledgeable.
I’ll try call Gear Exchange and Speedy Diffs.
While talking to Smithfield Diff and Gear I was told to consider Crewman rear bearings (I think he said rear bearings) as they were thicker and he was able to get an engineer to approve 10 inch wide rims on the rear by using them. Anyone done this before or know what conversion he’s referring to?

I have rung a few places and all seem to be priced within $100 of each other. I also spoke to two engineers about getting a certificate for the wider rims and was told it could be done as long as it bolted up to the original places and the tyres didn’t protrude the guards.
Looks like I’ll be going with Speedy Diffs in Mascot. Jim was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and has been used by my cousin in his Mustang YLDPNY.
Thanks again for the recommendations

Blake with vn ss put crewman diff in his tubbed rear end same thing axles & bearing take higher load.
Also opens up options using diff gears & truetrac, kaaz etc ‘cos vt-vz centres.
