Hi guys. This is my first post. I have a custom project in mind and am doing research.
Are there any differences between the 2wd crewman body and the Cross 6 or 8 body? I am not so concerned about exterior trim like flares, but the transmission tunnel and any bracing, thickness of materials, etc.
Cheers.

November 26, 2017 at 8:32 am #25262The Crosstrac cars have a couple of extra crossmember mounts welded to the floor and the rails have captive nuts for the big cross brace, no other differences I’ve seen.

November 26, 2017 at 10:05 am #25264Thanks.
Sounds like i need to see what the cross brace looks like.
As suggested i think i will check out your build.I also want to say that the forum structure creates a good first impression 😊
November 26, 2017 at 10:29 am #25266The ij build thread seems dead? I cant see any photos or post to it.

November 26, 2017 at 11:39 am #25269What is it you’re thinking of doing Rhett?
November 26, 2017 at 11:50 am #25270Hmm, i use my phone? Tapatalk isnt even quoting when it should, or putting in spaces. My plan is radical and very different from what has been done before. Its an offroad build. I hope to graft in pajero subframes and drivetrain, plus more.
November 26, 2017 at 1:28 pm #25274Ok stock Holden body is pretty much irrelevant in that case, just use whichever is available at the right price!
What’s the end use for the car going to be?
November 26, 2017 at 6:43 pm #25275The end use is general touring, offroad, commuting. Its an everything car. The track would be widened with longer wishbones, but its more about comfort, offroad ability and handling, its not about doing jumps.
