Wonder what the viscosity rating of olive oil is…

Engine would probably run like crap, but be good if you were having a bbq by the side of the road :)

Most oils are pretty average, well there good but not great as they make them comply with emissions and stuff

Drag racing teams realise this and make there own oils

Watch some joe gibbs things on you tube as they have great segments explaining what to use, as what one recommends in QLD where it’s constently above 10 or so degrees might not be so great in SA in winter in -5 degrees

Problem with these oils are they don’t last a long time not like 5000km anyway but I don’t see Gary leaving his oil much over 1000km

    Joe gibbs
    Brad penn
    Lucas

Joe gibbs makes a oil for the LS engines and is LS30 also read lots of guys using BR30 in there LS engines

Me I use nothing but joe gibbs or if I carnt get it second choice brad penn

    Pavtek sell Goe gibbs oils

Cheers Pete. Your right about changing oil frequently, it’s a bit of a thing of mine, to me we spend thousands on a car, oil changes are cheap insurance. I have gone for redline as that’s what the tuner recommends, and uses in his VE HSV. So far by a mile he is the best tuner I have dealt with and trust so I was happy to go with his recommendation. I plan on changing it this week end, I will definitely post up before and after results. That joe Gibbs oil I hadn’t heard of, will do a bit of a read.

Who is this new tuner you are using?

TK from PF says ULX is the gun. I have always used penrite but will try ULX next.

Stephen Bell, his adds the yellow one to the right. He is the guy that got mine to pass full emissions, he took it from producing 243 grams/mile and idling like a top fuel drag car on heat to only producing less than 1 gram/mile and idling and driving sanely. I really don’t want to start a tuner war discussion, but through my own personal experience I am really happy with him.
