Posts: 5 777Wow is it really over week since I checked in on this!! Mate, congratulations, absolutely first class. Sounds like all the areas you put the thought into to improve have paid off, again well-done buddy. Couldn’t agree with Cav more, smashed it out of the park, what an absolute weapon. At least something positive has come out of this suck balls kind of year
December 13, 2020 at 5:35 pm #33264Thanks Gary, just tweaking the alignment to find out what it wants, the car is a Kart on ALL the steroids, I’ve never driven anything like this thing, it’s so direct!

December 13, 2020 at 7:26 pm #33267It’s really stunning just how instant changes of direction are, the Lexcen was always lazy so felt like a big heavy car…
December 14, 2020 at 9:44 am #33270December 16, 2020 at 9:43 am #33276Quick trip into the Post Office to collect the final part for the Panda!
Yes it’s finished, roll on the Tarmac event at Broadford in January..
Because I sit so far back the stock rear view mirror was 9 parts useless, way back when I put the race mirrors on the Lexcen I remember Paul Lincoln telling me about his cage mount wide angle mirror..
December 16, 2020 at 6:42 pm #33277Mirrors, I was told never to use them!
December 16, 2020 at 8:31 pm #33278It does have something no other BMW has….
Indicators that work..
December 18, 2020 at 10:22 am #33283Couldn’t find a 1kg extinguisher with a metal bracket anywhere in Kyneton… so had to shoot off to Bendigo for a change..
December 22, 2020 at 10:04 am #33292LOTS of time to “think” now the Panda’s together… yes this can be dangerous…
The way I have the Brake pedal mounted it’s going over centre so it’s a falling rate ratio the further it travels..
Pulled one of my “spare” Master Cylinders apart to see where the charge and return ports are located then adjusted a heap of free play out, seems much improved as the travel is at the top of the pedal arc.
Bath time!
